Hi Paul, thank you,
I fish in the largest and fastest streaming river off holland, and yes the Barbel is like silver over here if.
But no worry's, they are perfectly healthy and strong, ha ha ha, because the bottom of the river is mostly sand and small gravel, they need this color, at other rivers like The IJssel or Grensmaas, they are more goldbrown.

Great video and some interesting fish Ronald. Thats a very wide river. The barbel seem very pale in comparison with UK barbel, but look fantastic. Is the river usually coloured?
